Welcome to our website

Puddletown Rugby Football Club is situated in Dorset’s picturesque Piddle Valley, five miles north-east of the county town of Dorchester. We enjoy CASC status (Community Amateur Sports Club) and pride ourselves in being a family orientated club run by its members for the benefit of all who enjoy the game of rugby.

We currently run two senior men’s teams in the Dorset and Wilts leagues, with our 1st XV competing in Division 1 South (level 8) and our Seconds in Division 3 South (level 10).

New players of any ability can always be sure of a warm welcome at Puddletown, so if you are keen to develop your skills and help the club realise its ambitious plans then we’d like to hear from you.

Latest News

Pre-season Training Announced (12/05/09)

Pre-season training for 2009-10 will begin on Saturday 20th June with a players’ meeting with drinks and refreshments at The Ship in High West Street, Dorchester, followed by the Lions game on TV. Further details from Jon Wilson nearer the date.

The hard work will start on Tuesday 30th June and in response to popular demand from the recent meeting Toby Musgrove has produced a detailed Training Schedule which can be downloaded from HERE. Watch this space for regular updates!

Piddle Dash (Oct 08)

Puddletown RFC’s Piddle Dash, organised by Donna Russell, has raised in excess of £5,000.

Club vice-chairman Kevin Voss said, ’I want to thank all the rugby clubs who supported the event. Despite the atrocious weather the Piddle Dash was again an unmitigated success.’

’Both prizes in the team event went to Westbury RFC, and I would like to extend a special thank you to them for their contribution.’
